Python in US zoo lays 7 eggs without male help

A 62-year-old ball python at the US' St Louis Zoo laid seven eggs although not being near a male python for over 20 years. Mark Wanner, the zoo's manager of herpetology, said it's strange but not rare for ball pythons to reproduce asexually. He added she would "definitely be the oldest snake we know of in history" to lay eggs.
